Il recente rilascio di VLC basato su QT4, il progetto di mozilla-qt, skype, licq, mi hanno spinto a pensare ad un desktop basato su applicazioni QT4 standalone, ovvero senza il mattone di KDE4.
Effettuando delle ricerche mi sono accorto che questa mia attrazione per le librerie grafiche di Trolltech e nel contempo "non-voglia" di utilizzare KDE4 è una cosa alquanto singolare e quei pochi che ci hanno provato si sono subito arresi. Mi sono così subito messo a cercare/provare applicazioni nuove indipendenti da KDE che sostituissero le mie attuali applicazioni in gtk, usando un semplice wm come pekwm o awesome. Ho praticamente trovato tutte le alternative impacchettando io stesso dei nuovi programmi qt4 su AUR.

Il y a 3 jours, Apple a réussi à breveter le concept du dock. Vous savez, cette barre en bas avec les icônes ? C'est ça un dock. Des logiciels comme avant-window-navigator, cairo-dock, engage, kiba-dock sont des exemples.

Alors est-ce une menace ? Je ne suis pas juriste, mais je dois pouvoir résumer à peu près la situation.

Esta orden creará varias partes segun el tamaño que hayamos elegido:

NB: In giro per la rete si e' parlato di una patch per abilitare le features di msn plus! : mentre scrivo la patch non e' piu' reperibile e tutto il discorso del supporto a msn plus! e' un po' vago. Sto in campana e non manchero' di segnalare qualsiasi news; chiusa la patentesi plus!, puo' cominciare l'installazione. La guida e' valida per Debian testing e Ubuntu.

Is someone in the crowd (crowd?!?) wondering about where I've been in the last months? Well it's time for you to know.

First of all I've been on holiday till the end of August: it wasn't a real holyday though 'cause I was working for two of my university exams.

In September my "winter life" started again so I had not so much time to write my thoughts here.

However you should not worry about my Debian work: if you use wordpress (and I hope so) you'd've seen a number of recent uploads. I worked hard to correct all security issues in wordpress 2.5.1 before the lenny release date. At the moment we have no open CVEs and this makes me really glad.
